After years of trying to make thier chevy powered T/F dragster run a 5 sec. pass... IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!
5.970 @ 244.03 MPH... Bakersfield,Ca. Congrats to Arnold Birky, the coolest guy I know... Gary, Bob, Rick, Henry, Doug, Paul, and oh yeah, MARK MALDE for keeping his foot in it as usual as my avatar clearly shows... LMAO Way to go guys, glad I made it there to see it finally happen...
Did the champagne taste like vinegar??? LMFAO It's been in the trailer since like 95...
Let's do it again today!!

Would that be the quickest Chevy on fuel? What hardware are they running?

Not the quickest CHEVY, but D-GOOD for them... Let's see what today and tonight have in store...

The quickest Nostalgia Chevy on Nitro most likely was done by one of the Champion Speed Shop cars with their smallblocks. I believe they went 5.7s with a front engined digger. Fifteen gallon pump, single mag and 671 blower. Congratulations to the Birkys and Mark malde.

Nice job on their first 5 sec pass, Congratulations!!!

I wish I would have went to Bakersfield this weekend……. Oh well, maybe next year.
