FRIDAY QUALIFYING
SCHUMACHER NOT QUALIFIED

CONCORD, N.C., September 12 – U.S. Army Top Fuel pilot, Tony “The
Sarge” Schumacher, failed to make the field here Friday following the first day of
qualifying for the inaugural Carolinas Nationals at zMax Dragway.
While Schumacher posted a 3.937-second pass at 308.92 mph in his initial
qualifying session, he smoked the tires in the evening session and as a result ended up out
of the top 12 heading into Saturday’s action.

There are only 17 Top Fuel cars there, do you really think he won't make it in?

Man I don't like this new qualifying format... Tony is 13th and would be qualified by the old format...

I guess it just makes more HYPE to do it the new way??

Up in smoke 3 times after the tech guys at indy went over all the top fuel cars with a fine tooth comb to see if any one had any tppe of tracition control devise.

That post rates about a 2/10 on the troll scale.

If he didn't go on to destroy everybody the next five runs after that you may have begun to have a point. But since he did, you don't.

That was my point of view this is America isn't it.

I am glad you brought that up. I would like to explain my point my view.
When we where having our car tech at indy the tech guys where checking things the never did before, when asked what the we looking for they replied traction control. We asked why, they resopnded that when cars always make clean runs with no smoke we step up our inspections. Can you guess who's name came up around the pits. After the first few Q sessions the same name was being talked about. but i guess i have not point of view to so people.
