Re: WJ?
The number I always seem to hear is seven seconds, and I don't believe it was a full 7 seconds. Oh well.

Re: WJ?
It's all computerized once Rick Stewart flips the switch. Once both guys are pre-staged and one guy is staged Rick then flips the switch.
Then the Compulink system kicks in, and gives the un-staged driver 7 seconds to stage. As with what we saw with WJ if they take longer than 7 seconds then that dreaded red bulb comes on.

Re: WJ?
I'm bummed about his being timed out and WJ has to be fuming. But ya know, most of WJ's problems seem to be reaction time related, although car setup has bitten him too. He and Kurt just don't have consistency on the lights, and WJ is way off almost all the time now. Seems the only time he cuts a killer light is when he races Kurt.

Re: WJ?
It seemed like he was setting still too long, i am sure the car wouldn't roll forward and time ran out , if he's mad it's at himself!

Re: WJ?
I was at today's race at Sonoma and while getting WJ's autograph he told another fan that it was indeed a malfunction and that he got "red-lit" at about 5 and a half seconds. He didn't seem quite as upset as I thought he would be. He compared it to the Steve Johnson-Matt Smith deal at Indy a few years back..... timing equipment malfunction.

Re: WJ?
what i'm wondering is why would warren take the chance and wait so long! warren was on the bubble of the countdown to 10 and could not afford to go out early again and he was racing a car he had covered performance wise and gray is not known for his rt's. i doubt wj is gonna catch connolly now and the next car in line is more than 5 rounds ahead with only 3 races to go.

Re: WJ?
I was bummed for Greg Anderson when he got counted out at Norwalk. I'm bummed for Warren now. I understand the need for the count but it's still a tough way to lose a race.

Re: WJ?
When you're snake bit, nothing,I mean nothing goes right. I checked for a full moon, that's not it but a certain P/S drivers mother put a hex on WJ a few years ago with a voodoo doll and I'm damn certain that's probably it. Sometimes when it goes bad,it's bad and you just have to keep on keepin on and WJ will come back.

Re: WJ?
My guess is a line lock malfunction. When he didn't see the necessary pressure on the gauge, he kept trying and time got away from him. No good guys, no bad guys, just an equipment malfunction. As the old saying goes, "If it wasn't for back luck, I'd have no luck at all".

Re: WJ?
With Krisher's car not even getting to the gate either, as a WJ fan, I would say WJ's concern right now would be to catch Krisher or Stanfield to make the cut of 10. I don't think he'll be catching Dave.
