Interesting yet very specific comments from Whit during the telecast yesterday.

I could be totally wrong here but I got the impression that if he were to land a sponsor that he'd have this thing all lined up and ready to go.

I got the impression that the possibility of him returning to NHRA racing is pretty slim.

It's "his way" or "no way"..... and his way is unlikely, IMO.

Hey if I could find a sponsor I'd be all lined up and ready to go too! In all seriousness, there are only so many of those perfect scenarios available at any given time, still I hope he makes it back someday.

"Unfinished business...." Even when he's at home he's still whining about something. Sheesh.

Thats kinda the way I took it as well, basically 2 ways: 1. "Its my way or the highway" and 2. "Nobody wants to deal with me."

Terry, you must be privy to some inside info based on your comment, or are you trying to jerk people's chains? I guess we'll find out soon. Whit did say he would be at Sonoma in some sort of capacity but did not say what. Seattle would have been closer to home for him, but maybe he wasn't ready to announce anything yet. I wasn't sure how to take his phone interview, but he's gonna get criticized for anything he says so I guess we better just wait and see what pans out.

I was sad to hear that he's not chomping at the bit to come back. But I can't blame him for only wanting to come back for the right situation.

No sense in being miserable in what you're doing. I'm stuck that way now. Hope he makes it back soon

I ran into him in the bar @ the Crowne Plaza downtown Seattle and we talked for some time and hinted about his return. He will be back and could of already been out there w/ a leaker but wants to challenge Wilk/Pedregons who he feels are the best cars to date w/ their budgets...He also praised Denshams efforts!

It was good to hear from Whit again! I hope he's back soon. And it's also good to hear that he won't rush back just for the sake of being back.

I am a huge Whit fan.. Been taking crap from my friends for years for it too...

Anyhow I understand his comments about not coming back unless it was his way.. If you lost your ride two years in a row( even if you did bring some of it on yourself) wouldnt you want to come back out with your own team and do it your own way?? I trully love this idea..

Seems Cory Mac is enjoying himself much more as his own car owner then when he was racing other peoples cars.... Hopefully whit can have a similiar experience.....
