rex, my point is 320 feet less wont make a difference in a major problem, these cars will still be going 300 mph. work on the shutdown areas, longer sand traps, no camera booms, gravel traps, better catch nets ect.

wrong.

As a eyewitness at 1000', I saw, heard, or felt nothing except a perfect pass 'till right after the 1000' mark and saw a brief flash out of the left bank.

Not saying it would not have blown up, but it was not before the 1000' mark.

I sat directly at that spot, and no, there was no apparent trouble.

Not starting a argument, just FYI.

This has to be factual.

I agree 100%, that still needs to be done, no doubt about it.
