The year of women in racing
The way this year is going for women in motorsports I hope those people that say women have no place driving a race car are choking on their words about now.Especially the ones that got their butts whipped by one.

Re: The year of women in racing
You really have to love the gender parity within our sport! Isn't it great! We've become an example to the world of competition with regards to this topic.

I was thinking the same thing too...in a span of a month or two we've had 3 women win a final...and win!

Re: The year of women in racing
I would think that a major sports magazine, like SPorts Illustrated (for example), would do well to have Ashley, Melanie, and Hillary on their cover... I also think they would all look great on a Wheaties box...
Our sport has a very powerful message to offer our young people in terms of parity, skills, determination, and team spirit. These are the fastest women on the planet and I was dissapointed this morning there was no mention of their accomplishments and recognition of this season where the ladies have had such success. |
