could another reason so many have caught up, is that their speed secrets they once had, is spread around the pits little more these days? Maybe greg needs to shop around for darker pit curtains.

Re: What happened to the Summit juggernaut?

Mr. Black only needs to spend the $ to hire enough collective minds and material to out-think-then outrun WJ, KJ, Victor and today, Larry Morgan. He also needs to $pend enough on staff to out think the rule book. He's done it before. The real question is, will he do it again?

One other thing notable to mention is that WJ wasn't just running the DRCE2 then the DRCE3 prior to the others, he was developing them from scratch for future superiority over the entire class. Everything he's developed has dominated the entire class eventually. I somehow missed the gratitude the entire GM Pro Stock class owes him. Krisher was probably grateful today, even if it was somewhat indirect.

Re: What happened to the Summit juggernaut?

You know when your good? When they keep making rules that prohibit you from doing things you are doing. Who cares if they spend more money, they obvisously spend it right. I get tired of it when any orginization keeps making rule changes that hinder the people who are trying hard and dominating the class. To everyone else, quit b*tching and get to work.

If anyone thinks KB racing is done, yall are crazy. We will see in the end, though with this crapdown there's no telling you will win it.

Remember, you only need to be in the top 10 after Indy. I predict the Summit cars will have their act together when it really counts starting in Concord.

LOL , maybe Gramm found out it was in the front tires !
Those cars and the preparation of them and the class itself is something else.
How much time on truing and balancing goes into those front tires they had to replace an hour and a half before qualifying.

Pro Stock is the hardest class hands down.
Every bolt and bearing and keeper has to be spec on those engines.
It's not cheating unless you get caught then it's innovation. LOL
My caps off to all those guys in Pro Stock , they earn their keep with many hours of details.

Where has anybody said KB Racing was "done"? I guess it makes you good when you spend whatever it takes right? I guess when GA won the 15 races and made everybody look stupid, that was ok too. The only way he lost was if he made a mistake because nobody could out run him. The rules changes/clarifications made by NHRA were of the cost saving type. I guess trying to keep the costs down so there would be a P/S class was wrong huh? If the rumored $250K per pair shocks they were running was true, how many P/S teams could afford them? Like I said previously,I think it's a combination of the rules changes and the rest of the field catching up. I for one am enjoying P/S again because of the competition, like KJ leading the points.

You've got to be kidding, keep the cost down? The class is way out of hand now. Like Ricky Smith said recently, the only way he (and others)could ever compete is if NHRA went to a spec motor.

Just think about the costs if NHRA hadn't made the changes?,I didn't say P/S was cheap.

PS is and has always been a rich man's game. It will always be that way. Cost saving doesnt exist. You think your ole buddy WJ wouldnt spend $250k if he found a way to outrun the field? I think he would. Thats what he gets paid to do. One bad race guys, one. I just dont like it when people outwork everyone else and then get punished for it basically with rule changes. And I know alot of yall say not outwork but outspend. Well you know what, give me $5 million and let me see how far I get. Want to know? I'll still be last on the qualifying sheet b/c I dont know sh*t. Just cause you have money and spend it doesnt mean you know what your doing.

The usual 4-5 year ebb and flow of Pro Stock! I kinda like it.

Nobody says they don't work hard. The point is,when you have the budget/checkbook to go along with tapping into NASCAR technology (Ken Black's words) it puts you ahead of the curve. Do I think they are still competitive, you betcha but it isn't as easy as it was. When you start getting beat, the chance for mistakes go up. Did you know that KB Racing has/had an exclusive with Wilson manifolds? they paid for the exclusive so nobody else could buy a DRCE P/S intake manifold from them. The reason I know this is,a P/S racer I know tried to buy one and was told, can't sell you one and no it wasn't WJ. So if NHRA tries to help keep the costs somewhat in check,so be it .
