As a little foot..I remember my first upclose brush with a nitro-harley at Cordova back in the 60's. That's the first place we went in the pits when we got there. I just about peed my pants! Radical!

I like the tight competition/racing between today's PSB class..but I'll never forget the shock of being 6 ft away and grabbing my Dad's arm when that 2 wheel beast fired up.

I'd like to see that class propagated.

If it were up to me, NHRA would replace them with Pro Mod over night. They just dont interest me. But I will say this, the greatest pass of my lifetime that I saw in person: A few years ago, Larry "Spiderman" McBride on his Top Fuel Bike. The guy is nuts. At Houston he went the first ever 5 second pass at like 230,240. He carried the front wheel to the 1000 ft mark and had about a 4 ft flame the whole pass. It was awesome. NO doubt, the most inspiring thing I have ever seen. That ranks over some pretty awesome runs I have seen in person.

I saw the "SpiderMan" make that pass. That's a bad bad bike. I hung out with the PSB guys & gals one year, the last Fall Nat. race they had at HRP, and I can honestly say they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. That was back when Dave Schultz made his come back and won the race. That’s what everyone was talking about, how he was actually there racing. I even got to see & talk to him for a bit and he signed my helmet that day, along with several other riders. They for the most part didn’t have a clue as to who I am or was but kinda took me in, explained a lot about the bikes to me, showed me around the trailers, all that stuff. Was cool. And a day I wont forget & I feel lucky to have had that chance to see & do all that.

Far as a class, I can see every year that its changing. The Harleys have helped bring some fans into it but for the most part it seems to have stalled or maybe even lost some of the fan base that was once there. I have to see any class go, especially if they do it way of the PST, but maybe some changes could be made to bring some more excitement & promotion into if they (NHRA) actually want the class to stick around for a long time.
