I think it is great! Drag Racing is the Boxing of motorsports. One on one, best man wins...

We need more rivalries...look at what the Snake vs Mongoose did so many years ago, Cha-Cha and Big Daddy, Jungle Jim and Ace....man, they all did it, they helped promote the races along with the promoters and sanctioning bodies...and the stands were packed, no matter what night of the week!

I would love to see Ashley and Melanie get into a promotional cat fight...

Part of it too I think is too many of the current generation of drivers did not have to claw, scrape and struggle along like the stars of the year...I can remember crews sleeping in the cap of the wedge truck because all the hotel rooms were gone...but those guys spoke gospel to us kids at the time...they were our heroes...I can remember getting into smack talk with kids in elementary school over who was going to win an upcoming match race, all based on what we heard the drivers saying in the ads and media...Man, I miss that..

I for one am sick and tired of hearing Fuller cry about last year...this is a new year and new points...GET OVER LAST YEAR!! And its not like Tony "took" it away...Fuller flat out lost it for himself.

Just thinking today on another spin to Fuller's comments (which are great for the sport I might add.) When you call someone the "evil empire" it's also a form of flattery or respect. In these parts folks consider Duke and North Carolina to be at the top of the basketball pecking order. They are often called the evil empire. Just as the Yankees. To be an evil empire in this sports analogy you have to earn some respect in a big way. Shoe's/Johnsons/Big Shoe's Championships echo that!!!
