Re: Just one little Paul Page comment

What gets me is.... and granted, I don't go to alot of powerade races. Usually twice a year. But even at just those two, seems like every time I see Dave, Gary, Dunn, Frey, Unk and Reinhart... and before that even Marty, Evans, Shaheen and MacLelland scouring the pits atleast a couple times a day... talking to drivers, doing interviews, joking with the crews and even the fans, etc. Has anybody out there every actually seen Paul physically in the pits? Since he's been onboard I never have. So my question would respectfully be, where and how does he get all his info?

Yeah the constant sound of tools dropping in trays or air wrenches keeps me on the edge of my seat.

If it was all from the lanes, I'd be cool with it but really....do we need the sounds of tools?

Cruising the pits......
There is NEVER enough time to get around and see everyone, But it's the only way to know what's really happening in this grand sport of ours.

That and going out at night for dinner, drinks and conversation. The local restaurants are great for running into people and picking up the "off the record" stuff that helps you know what to expect so you can be prepared and knowledgeable when it does occur.

Of course, earning that respect takes time for the trust to develop.

Just my .02

See you in Houston next week,

Unk

Unk....look at the upper right corner of your post...You only have 97 Mater Credits I have more than you... However just your "NAME" alone puts you automatically in the "Nitromater Countdown" .. If you are unfamiliar with the rules ..See "NHRA Countdown" I couldn't let that pass....
