If this keeps up teams are gonna quit going to the alky ranks for the next nitro driver, they'll ransack the bike pits

I was thinking that is the only negative that can come out of this. They don't weigh much, can cut a light and should have good seat of the pants feel. Angelle did start this trend in pro stock bike.
Antron was one of my favorite riders in pro stock bike but I still hope teams go to the alky ranks to get drivers. But in this money world, bring dollars, will ride.

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
I knew Antron was going to do well, but I never thought he was going to be this good this early. A big reason is chemistry, you can tell he knows how to get along well with others unlike another driver we know. You certainly won't be hearing of Antron getting into shouting matches with the car owner or getting into a tizzy over a non-issue like the other driver lighting both stage lights!

I will be the first to admit, when I heard back last year that they were thinking of putting Antron in the car, I was like WTF? Are you serious?
I will no longer doubt that decision maker. AB is the man. Congrats! The final was awesome!

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
Hmmm....why is it that Bazemore never even came close to having this kind of success in that car? I guess the driver makes a bigger difference than I thought.

What about one of the greats of all time, Dale Pulde, filling in for an injured Whit, several moons ago, and immediately, in an unfamiliar ride, turning it into a winner? Same with Jack Beckman, a great guy with determination, and a positive outlook and attitude. Another winner.
The driver definitely makes a difference in teamwork and a winning attitude.
We are seeing it here firsthand.
Beard has the driver he needs and all the chemistry in place now to showcase his immense talent and experience.
How would a football team do with a quarterback often whining and deriding his teammates, competitors, and team owners publicly?
Probably not too well.
If any successful comeback were ever to be made, probably an enormous personality adjustment would be in order.
Personally I believe that many were just tired of the old behavior.
JUST my .02.

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
Does anybody think - PSB drivers might actually HAVE something.
I know PSBs react quicker - but they're accustomed to calibrating their performance -so-much-closer-to-the-ragged-edge - how often do you see
.010s in bikes versus the fueler classes?
Uh oh, Angelle and Antron together again - I can hear the weeeping and gnashing of teeth (One from my girl - the other from the fans<GGGGG>)

I can tell you from personal experience at the old Ct Dragway on my ol' KZ's, bikes do react quicker.
I would regularly leave w/ "hero" lights (of course I was in my 20's....twenty something years ago, in my twenties, and twenty something pounds lighter.)
On a sportsman tree back under the old calibration I was a regular with .507 to .512 RT's
And redlighted alot too. "Bad" days I would have .530-.540 RT's.
Today I would probably do a lot worse, but back then I figured that was quite good, but some others on avg. were still better.
I think Antron is just plain flat a winner. No matter what he drives/rides.
A "Natural"

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
Congrats Antron, that guy kicks ass, I can definitely see why Lee Beard is so happy to have him in the car. Did you guys notice when he grabbed Ashley Force to congratulate her in the winners circle, he was so amped up he swung her like a rag doll, cracked me up!

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
I still say that every time Lee Beard stands up there and guides 2 front wheels into the beams he's not alone.....Gary Ormsby is right there with him.

This is exactly what I was going to post word for word. Congrats to the whole team.
P.S. the whole J.R. Todd piece where he says " I'm not Antron " was funny at first but I don't think anybody will confuse you two anymore.

Re: Antron ...... Unbelievable !!!!
As one of the few still on hand in at ATL Dragway around 8:30pm, I was elated to see that the best race was the last race!!!
