The really sad thing is that on an IRL board I inhabit, the fans really want Paul Page back.

A reverse Marty for Paul exchange seems so easy. Why oh why won't someone at ABC listen and take action? It's hard to admit mistakes and undo them but that's why executives make the big bucks, they say.

Re: Did Paul Page say this?

I really hate to make a negative comment on someone who is trying to make an honest living. Did he ask for this job or was it given to him and he had no choice? Either way, I truly can't stand to listen to him or even see his face during the broadcasts. I don't think Mike Dunn can either ( he looks mortified each time he turns to his right to acknowledge any verbage from PP), but both of them are there earning a living. I think having a first round loser or a pro that didn't make the field gives the commentary an inside opinion that is good for the listener. I have not heard much yet out of PP that does any of that. He has to try too hard, and he doesn't do much at all for the broadcast. Yes, there may be worse people out there, but this is what we have and it doesn't work well for me at all. If it wasn't for Mike Dunn and guest commentators, I would use the mute button and turn up the stereo and just watch, much like I do for NFL and NBA.

I would echo Lori's comments. Very well said.
