if top fuel is the king of sport then why?

if top fuel dragsters are the kings of the sport why does the nhra run funnycar final qualifying round last? just wondering not being negative .......??????

Rick, They alternate sessions with FC and TF on friday and sat at different races

True test is Sunday.........first race of the day and last race of the day. TF is still the KING!

Funny Car is first on Friday, Top Fuel is first on Saturday. When the Friday night quailifying started FC ran first because it would be getting dark during TF and it is easier to see out of a dragster. At least that was the therory at the time.

Always thought Top Fuel ran first on Saturday qualifying to allow for extra prep time for R1. However, Pomona and Indy are exceptions to the rule because Top Fuel runs last during the final qualifying session.

All I know is I'm a Nitro Funny Car gal....always have been. I think it's because J. Force was the first driver I met in the pits in '96.

That's because those events are 3-day qualifying events. Since they alternate who goes first on each day, the odd number of days allow Top Fuel to go last.
