Nope. There were over 150 at the US Nats last year.

In other classes . . . very short field in Comp, but lots of hitters in TAD and TAFC! I love the Alky cars - wish I could be there.
Meetings Saturday at PIR with our NASCAR customers and then watching another really boring race -

But Indy is also the only race where there is a 64 car Comp field. I believe that only 128 cars get qualified in stock, super stock, super gas and super comp even though there may be 150 cars trying to get into the field. Also I'd guess that some of the cars in stk and s/s tend to show up for class eliminations and then leave, so some of the cars that are lower than 128th still get into the show.

Looks like a great turnout of quality cars too. I'm surprised Comp hasn't got several more. Maybe tomorrow?
Wish i was there. Hopefully we can count on pictures from some of you.

I think a problem with comp is the altitude adjustment factors. It's too easy to run more than 60 under with those factors.

Stock and superstock is a 128 car qualified field(if you don't qualify and win class, you are inserted into the field bumping out a lower qualified car). Super comp and super gas is a all run field, if 200 shows up in each class then 200 runs the race.

And 200 usually do show up at Vegas but not this year, they drop a class every race and S/C got bumped this time.
The last one I was at it took over two hours to run each S/C time trial.
