Sounds like Scott went off the end of the track at Norwalk and did some damage

CompetitionPlus reporting that the body is headed back to Roush for repair.

I'm not a fan of toyotas but that body looks sleek.

They messed up the body in Norwalk last night and ran the Monte Carlo today.

An odd side note: Kalitta got to the finals against Densham and rain postponed the event until Monday so they've split the purse and no winner will be named.

Man, Scott has had some bad luck with new bodies.
Bummer.
Does anybody know if the NHRA regular attendee cars need any changes to compete at IHRA events? (sanctioning body requirements)
Or can they run them with all the same hardware?

IHRA allows older bodies and there are no retrictions that prevent any NHRA car from competing.

I was at Norwalk on Friday. A couple people mentioned "dirt track" type styling. That is a great explanation. I didn't care for it but then again it wasn't painted. I'll have to wait and see.

Here's a link to a very clear shot of the new nose - makes the car look like a Dirt Late Model on steroids.

Sure does look like a "dirt wedge" nose. Should work real well.

When I crewed for a guy in the Nascar elite series we "cheated up" a nose similar to that to run at Phoenix and when we unloaded and went through tech the whole pit was all over it. Needless to say, we had to change it. Got away with it a whole season until Phoenix. That nose was fast.
