Re: Connelly On Phoenix Entry List
I'd of thought we'd have heard about it by now if he was on the grounds.
We can only hope. I'd really like to see him back out there, and see what kind of RT's he could cut with the now-healthy leg.

Re: Connelly On Phoenix Entry List
I'd love to see him back out there...
Maybe he'll match up with WJ first round and burn him down again. The first episode was classic, the second should be one for the ages! Go Dave...GO!!!

Re: Connelly On Phoenix Entry List
I believe it is Peter Biondo's Super Stocker (the 'Hatari' Firebird) as he also ran it at the Bradenton Divisional last weekend. As for the Gators, I wish I had more information to share, but I have to be honest and say that I do not know, sorry.

Re: Connelly On Phoenix Entry List
the state of nhra pro stock is sad. they have absolutley no personalities (kj,wj,greg, line, krisher, gaines, yates interviews are painful dudes are worse than paint drying) courious of average nhra prostock drivers age? atleast glidden, nicholson and leal and those guys had some attitude. these drivers are so borrrrrrrrrring to listen to during interviews. if krisher was smart instead of getting tree'd every week he would hire someone like connolly. this class needs some young flashy drivers which wont happen because prostock is a 16 car millionaire playground these daze.

Re: Connelly On Phoenix Entry List
Well, John, although Rick's statement certainly lacks a significant amount of tact, the last statement he makes about Pro Stock being a millionaire's playground is pretty tight. I can remember standing in Reher & Morrison's trailer back in the early 90's at Columbus when I was considering (and ultimately did) going to Roy Hill's school. As I was talking to Bruce about it, Morris Johnson Jr. was also standing there, and they both basically said that going to the school with the hopes of landing a ride would be useless. As a matter of fact, Bruce's exact words were, "everyone that has enough money to own a Pro Stocker, thinks they can drive one".
Only a true statistician could pinpoint what effect DC's addition to your Dad's, or anyone else's program would be. But I would feel very confident that, with the exception of 3-4 current teams, his addition would have a pretty significant impact. Again, I'm not a statistician, but DC's reactions are not only top notch, but more importantly, I would bet his standard deviation (or in this case, the lack thereof) would rank very near the top. I don't see this number ever displayed, but believe it's critical in determining a driver's effectiveness. Everyone can pull a light out of their a$$ every now and then, but if your numbers represent a tight standard deviation/distribution, then that separates the players from the wannabe's. Sean D |
