Paul Smith
In Bob Freys did you know column he said Paul was going to renew his fuel license, and that a mystery driver will be in the car starting at Gainesville. Wonder who is renting his car this year, sounds like somebody new. It is probably the best running part time fuel car on the planet. Good luck Paul

I have a pretty good idea who will be driving (really HUGE understatement)
The deal is set, the check has been deposited. And announcement will be forthcoming.

Re: Paul Smith
This is really cool. Paul always fields a good car and stands a great chance of winning any event that he enters. While I won't come right out and ask who the driver is, I will ask does this person have a current F/C license and when and where did they compete last? I have a feeling I know who it is.

Re: Paul Smith
Could this deal be associated with the KIA deal he and Burkhart ran a couple times last season?
Anyway it's great to see a return with funding by any driver.

not even close. this isn't the same ole same ole that has been re-labled. This is a new sponsor to NHRA, and the driver, although current with NHRA license in funny car, last drove in NHRA close to 10 years ago in top fuel.
Trust me, don't even try to speculate,,, just wait for the press release.

Re: Paul Smith
Dale said he drove in NHRA Top Fuel close to ten years ago and his Funny Car license is current. The only one I can think of that drove T/F close to ten years ago and has a current F/C license is Mike Dunn. I really can't think of who else could fit that profile. Thoughts?

Re: Paul Smith
Ok, which one is it:
He drove TF 10 years ago?
or he drove some events last year in FC I take it?
You got me confused. If its 10 years or so ago, Andretti perhaps?
