For those of you familiar with I-5, here's some photos taken 25 miles South of Olympia yesterday. 10,000 trucks stranded at one time and the only route now is Eastward and then South through Yakima. I don't want to derail this thread more than we normally do here. William, that is just amazing! I have been down I-5 more times than I could count. I have seen water high in areas around there, but that is just hard to believe. And having to go all the way to Yakima and back to get to Portland? Wow! Most of my family lives in Pierce county and are all okay other than some soggy ground. I do have an uncle around Olympia that had some damage. My mom sent a link to the Olympia paper. That had some scary pics too.

Just a little background on Daniel (that's how I refer to him) from his former neighbor growing up. He worked for Brian Corradi and Lance Larson at Skuzas before they closed up shop. He laid low for a couple of years and I believe Brian brought him back out when he became a free agent crew chief. He has a background in welding and fabricating from his father who built many a pro-stock, pro-mod and funny car. I don't see him as often since he's on the NHRA side and I am mostly on the IHRA side. But if I had to venture a guess he'll make an excellent addition to Force's new in-house chassis program as well as a great son-in-law. It seems that if your raised around drag racing, you just can't get away from it. Plus it keeps you out of trouble back at home (inside joke). Best wishes to Daniel and Ashley, and if you are reading this-I am expecting an invitation to the wedding.
