I know that there was a thread about this, but to my recollection, it provided little insight to the answer to this question:

Say some guy named Fritzel the driver of the Snap On Tools, Pennzoil, Castrol, Gates Belts and Hoses, Heinz Ketchup, Old Spice, Yankee Candle, Sharp, Belkin, Dell, Toyota Top Fuel Dragster.

And say that (God forbid) Fritzel gets in a terrible accident and is in the hospital, multiple surgeries, etc. He has months worth of rehab, dental work, physical therapy, the whole nine yards.

Who pays for that? Snap On Tools, Pennzoil, Castrol, Gates Belts and Hoses, Heinz Ketchup, Old Spice, Yankee Candle, Sharp, Belkin, Dell, and Toyota?

Or does the NHRA - as part of workers compensation?

Or does my personal insurance? Team owners insurance?

Do NHRA participants sign a liability saying if they get hurt, it's all on them? How does this whole deal work?
