CSK Blue

Just read on NHRA.com that CSK is only renewing for 1 car. Hopefully Jeff can come up with something. We need Canadian representation in Funny Car!

I know it is a business but I hope Jeff finds something. And Phil B. for that matter.

Good luck to the Worshams in 2008. Still a class act.

Re: CSK Blue

Like you said that is a business decision. But, it sucks. I really miss having Phil B. out there. And hope Jeff can get something together too.
What about the team? Denner and Cunningham? Good luck to all involved. Really hope they can find something to keep the team together.

Re: CSK Blue

They've ran some races with Chevron as the primary sponsor on the car. I wonder if there's any possibility of signing Chevron full time?

As you probably know, Molson and Coors merged a couple of years back. Coors has just dropped the sponsorship of their Nextel Cup car and instead signed on to become the "Official Beer of NASCAR". Coors will be the sponsor of the pole award at all Sprint Cup starting in 2008 (Nextel Cup will become "Sprint" Cup starting next year). With no NHRA Powerade races in Canada I doubt that we'll see Molson as a primary sponsor anytime soon.

Re: CSK Blue

This is a huge bummer.

Wish it would have been the other way:
"Worshams to add 3rd F/C in '08".

Re: CSK Blue

I'm a little bummed with the annoucement today. I think in today's racing world two is better than one even though it isn't neccesary to have two cars. However I don't think that they truly ever had the budget to run two cars from CSK. The seat of the second car always went to a driver that could bring some $$ to the table. Hopefully Jeff can hook up with another team or secure his own sponsor.

I'm not trying to throw gas on a fire BUT then why has there been NO difference between the 2 cars this year, other than the "YYZ" decal on the blue car?
I've seen no EES decals on the blue car! I think that CSK DID pay for the blue car but Jeff/EES paid himself!

JMHO!

I mis-posted: I'm fairly certain that ALL of the blue drivers have been paid by Worsham Racing/CSK except for J. Gray.

Good luck Jeff!!!

Re: CSK Blue

Jeff and Windy,

I know you guys come on here, so I just want to wish you all the best. Hopefully someone has taken notice of the way you've performed this year, and you can get something going for the 08 season.

All the best.

Mike
