SAMPEY SIXTH, BROWN 12th IN PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLES

U.S. Army Suzuki riders, Angelle Sampey and Antron Brown, finished up qualifying sixth and 12th, respectively.

With a 7.070-second run at 186.41 mph on Saturday, Sampey not only moved back around Brown in the final order, but advanced from 13th to sixth.

"That was terrific," she offered. "As I stated yesterday, we needed to get into the top half of the field for race day. Unfortunately, Antron didn't make that jump with me."

Brown could not improve from his Friday performance and as a result dropped couple of positions in the line up.

"I wish that hadn't happened, but we'll just have to deal with it," said Brown. "I guess if there's an upside is that Angelle and I are on opposite sides of the ladder.

Hopefully, we'll see each other in the finals."

In first round action, Sampey will take on 11th-place qualifier, Geno Scali, while Brown will confront fifth-place qualifier, Ryan Schnitz.
