Hedges Wants a Strong Finish

Dave Hedges and the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels blown alcohol dragster Team are headed to Beech Bend Raceway Park this weekend for the final Division 3 event of the 2007 season. The Team remains in the Top 5 divisionally and they are looking to finish strong this weekend at what is shaping up to be a very hot race.

“All in all, I would say we have had a pretty good season so far. We have continued to improve our combination and we are feeling good going into this weekend. Anyone who has ever been out here trying to do this would tell you that it is really hard to win one of these things. I really think that we can get one; it is just a matter of getting it all together,” said crew chief Brain Pfeifer.

“It looks like it is really going to be a hot one this weekend. That means the track is going to be tricky but it may help the blown cars out here a little. Regardless, it gives us a chance to run the car before heading into the U.S. Nationals next week. We are going to give it our all just like we always do and hopefully we will find ourselves in the winner’s circle Sunday afternoon.”

On Friday the Team will get this first pass down the quarter-mile at 5 PM. Saturday they will have two more shots at 1 PM and 4:30 PM. The top 8 cars will begin eliminations on Sunday at 1 PM and continue throughout the day.
