HAGAN TO COMPETE FOR HOMETOWN FANS

July 13, 2007 - RADFORD, VA--Motor Mile Dragway is gearing up for another weekend of Extreme Blower and Nitrous competition as it hosts the first Extreme Class race of 2007. Taking a break from the grueling national Pro Modified touring divisions, Matt Hagan will compete in front of a hometown crowd.

"We have a lot of fun when we get to come home to Motor Mile," said Hagan. "This is going to be an exciting event for us."

Hagan and many other drivers will compete in front of record crowds this weekend due to owner David Hagan's decision to grant free admission to ticket stub holders from last weekend's ADRL event.

"We had to miss ADRL at our home track to stay in the IHRA points race," explained Hagan. "It'll be nice to see a huge crowd there again this weekend and it takes some of the disappointment out of us having to miss ADRL."

Matt Hagan and the rest of the Extreme Class entrants will be competing for a confirmed purse of $6,000 to win, $3,000 to runner-up, $2,000 to semi-finalists, and $1,250 to first round losers. But earlier in the week track owner David Hagan speculated that the winner's purse might increase to $7,500 with enough entrants.

"If the car counts are high enough we won't hesitate to increase the field to 16 cars and make purse adjustments," said Hagan.
