ROWE SUFFERS OUT-OF-CHARACTER FIRST ROUND LOSS IN EDMONTON

(7-9-2007) EDMONTON, AL – Danny Rowe and the Unfinished Business Team have made big strides in 2007; building a superb Pro Modified program on the championship-caliber season the team enjoyed in 2006, but continues to struggle with going the distance on race-day so far.

Rowe, who qualified the Gainsborough Capital ’67 Camaro 10th amongst the 21 cars in attendance, met Carl Spiering in the 1st round of eliminations and a slightly off-pace 6.297/228.57mph wasn’t enough to defeat Spiering’s 6.205/232.67mph lap.

“This was a frustrating weekend for us,” explained Danny Rowe, who receives additional sponsorship from Permatex and TORCO Race Fuels. “We know we have a quality race team with the potential to win any race we attend, but this new car just something different than what we are giving it. At the end of the day, we have to do more testing and figure things out. We’ve always qualified well and nobody here on our team will have that change.”

Although still only 69 points out of the first place position in the IHRA Pro Modified World Championship points chase, Rowe knows there is a long road to hoe for the Unfinished Business team in 2007.

“We’re not forgetting our goal of winning the IHRA Pro Modified championship,” Rowe said. “We’re going to continue working hard to put this new Camaro in the winner’s circle. We’re not interested in settling and everyone on the team knows we’ve got a lot of work to do to get where we want to go.”
