Heitzman Looking for First Win of the Season

Dyno Dave Heitzman and the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels A-fuel dragster Team will be in St. Louis this weekend for the Division 3 Lucas Oil Divisional Series event. It has been exactly one year from the time he first piloted the Top Alcohol Dragster and the Team is hoping to celebrate the anniversary by getting the Evan Knoll owned car in the winner’s circle.

“After Norwalk we stayed and tested. It was promising, the car ran better than it did during the event, but you don’t win races on Monday. We had a week off to go through everything and work on our combination and I am feeling good about the race this weekend,” said Dyno Dave.

The race marks the beginning of a busy 3 weeks for the Team. They are entering the first of a three race divisional swing that could prove to be pivotal in the divisional points chase. This weekend is particularly special for Dyno Dave who will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday.

“All I want for my birthday is to give Evan a Wally. And of course to celebrate it in the winner’s circle with all our Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels teammates. I couldn’t think of anything better; hopefully we will be able to make it all happen.”

Qualifying begins on Friday at 6 PM. On Saturday, they will get 2 more shots to make the 8-car field at 6 PM and 9 PM. Eliminations will start at 1 PM on Sunday following the opening ceremonies.

Quick Facts• Dyno earned two wins in his first season behind the wheel of the A-fuel dragster last year.
• The Team, owned by Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels, finished in the Top 20 in the National points standings last year running a limited schedule.
• His racing career began 24 years ago, with ATVs before moving on to Pro Mod Motorcycles and eventually dragsters.
• Heitzman is employed by Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels and resides in Decatur, Michigan, the company’s corporate headquarters.

Dyno Dave’s A-Fuel dragster is owned by TORCO Racing Fuels. By logging onto Torco Racing Fuels you can access their full line of innovative products including racing gasoline, additives, and Skull Gear.
