Hedges Excited About Norwalk

Dave Hedges and the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Dragster Team are making the drive to Norwalk , Ohio this weekend for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. Earlier this year Hedges made his first final round appearance at this same venue and they are hoping this time they will be able to take their car all the way to the winner’s circle.

“So far this year, we have done pretty well. We still have some things to work on, but the car is responding and we feel like we really have a chance to win every time we go up to the line. Do that 4 times in a row and we will be holding a Wally. But we aren’t worried about that right now; right now we are only thinking about qualifying and once that is over we will take it from there,” said crew chief Brian Pfeifer.

“We are going to continue to try some different things with the set up of this car and hopefully that will pay off in the long run. We don’t want to think about who is in the other lane, all we need to do is go out there and race the track. With all our Torco teammates out here, the competition is tough and hopefully we will be up to the challenge.”

The Team, which currently sits in the Top 5 on the divisional level will begin qualifying for the event on Friday at 2PM. They will continue on at 6 PM that evening and the final shot will begin at 11 AM Saturday morning. First round of final eliminations will be held at 4:30 on Saturday.
