Ware out in first round at NHRA Spring Nationals

BAYTOWN, TEXAS (April 1, 2007) – Driving the Disturbed Motorsports Pro Modified Camaro, Eddie Ware was defeated in the first round of final eliminations at this weekend’s AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge presented by Tindle Enterprises at Houston Raceway Park in Texas.

The 32-year old Eddie Ware from Marietta, GA, qualified 15th in the field of Pro Modifieds and was out-run by number two qualifier Tim Tindle driving a 1967 Camaro from Santa Rosa, Florida.

“It was extremely difficult to sort out our combination in the Rupture Streetwear Camaro during the poor weather conditions,” said Ware. “When you draw a hitter like Tindle everything needs to go perfect. He runs real well and flat out beat us.”

Intermittent rain showers caused the cancellation of the final two rounds of qualifying at the O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil on Saturday.

“We’ve been on the road racing for over a month. We’ll go back to the shop, regroup, and with the help of the team, and get ready for the next race,” said team Crew Chief Sam Ware. “Scott Higgins and Jamie Ludolph are a critical part of our team, they have worked very hard, and we certainly couldn’t do this without a good team behind us.”

Josh Hernandez defeated Scott Cannon Jr. to win the AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge presented by Tindle Enterprises in the final.

The next event for the Disturbed Motorsports Team sponsored by Rupture Streetwear, Baudier Vehicle Graphics, and Mickey Thompson Performance is the second event of the 12-race International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Knoll - Gas Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series in Rockingham, North Carolina.

The IHRA Spring Nationals presented by Advance Auto Parts and Castrol, is scheduled for April 20 – 22 at Rockingham Dragway.
