Sharon Ramlow Named IHRA Director of Operations

NORWALK, Ohio (September 20, 2006) – Sharon Ramlow, who has been operations coordinator at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) for two years, has been promoted to IHRA director of operations. Her new duties will include overseeing financial and logistic details pertaining to all IHRA national events as well as planning and executing the annual IHRA champion’s banquet.

“We are very excited to have Sharon move into this position,” IHRA President Aaron Polburn said. “Since she has worked for IHRA, Sharon has shown an incredible ability to handle the ‘big picture’ items while, at the same time, paying close attention to the details.”

Sherrie Barbour will assist Ramlow in her new position while Chris Cassidy and Cindy Collins (all current IHRA team members at the World Headquarters in Norwalk), have stepped forward and accepted additional duties to clarify and define Ramlow’s new position.

“Sharon is an integral part of the IHRA Family,” Polburn said. “Chris, Sherrie and Cindy were very cooperative and pleased to assume additional duties so we could make this move, a move that will make our company stronger. This is a promotion the entire IHRA Team has rallied around.”
