P.O.D's open race at M.I.R

Maryland International Raceway will host the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers on May 25th. This will be a non-points open race being held by P.O.D sponsor, Mr. Larry Thompson. Mr. Thompson will be having his Pro Doorslammer Nationals at M.I.R to showcase the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers. "The P.O.D is a great organization with some good guys, who I wanted to give the chance to race at one of the premier facilities on the eastcoast and have a chance to grow into something huge in the heads up doorslammer world" said Mr. Thompson. At our last event at Virginia Motorsports Park, Terry Dehaven in his Jeff Miller powered blown 63 Corvette broke the P.O.D record on his first pass with a 4.07 e.t. With big names like Steve King, Tim O'hare, Marc Hayes, and Fred Scriba expected, that club record could be in danger of being shattered. The 1/8th mile race promises to be a great show with qualifying being a battle with over 30 doorslammers trying to make a 16 car field.

Mr. Thompson has other things going on at his 1st Pro Doorslammer Nationals also with a big car show, no time grudge runs after dark, gamblers race, and a quick 32 shootout of top sportsman cars. M.I.R and the P.O.D will be the place to be May 25th. For more info. call Larry T. at 1-202-213-3528.
