DSR'S SENIOR VP MIKE LEWIS TO LECTURE ON CAREER SUCCESS IN MOTORSPORTS AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Jan. 16, 2007) – When not coordinating all facets of Don Schumacher Racing's NHRA championship drag-racing operation in Brownsburg, Ind., DSR's senior vice president Mike Lewis finds time to lecture college students on motorsports as a career.

Lewis will be speaking at Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Ind., this Friday, Jan. 18, on the subject of career success in motorsports, at the invitation of Richard A. Cosier, Dean and Leeds Professor at Purdue and coordinator of the Krannert Executive Forum.

The Krannert Executive Forum invites top-level corporate executives to deliver one-hour guest lectures to upper-class management students and undergraduate students from engineering and other schools on the Purdue campus. Master's-degree students and other faculty are also encouraged to attend.

"It is both an honor and a challenge to step back into the classroom and share some insight with a very bright group of future business leaders of America," said Lewis, who has been an executive with DSR for over five years. "It all came about through Don Schumacher Racing's involvement with the Indiana Motorsports Association. Tom Weisenbach, president of the IMA, used to work with me when I was at O'Reilly Raceway Park many years ago and we've remained in touch over the years.

"The opportunity to step in front of a classroom at the level of the Krannert Executive Forum is truly a challenge and an honor and hopefully it will be a good experience for all of us," added the Pennsylvania native.

Lewis is scheduled to take the stage at Rawls Hall at 11:30 a.m. to speak on "Achieving Success Within the Motorsports Lifestyle." The forum is open to the public as seating permits.

Lewis's long career in motorsports includes three years as the vice president/general manager of Indianapolis Raceway Park (now O'Reilly Raceway Park), six years as an NHRA vice president, and 18 years as manager and president of Maple Grove Raceway. Lewis announced NHRA races for over 20 years and served as a pit reporter for several Indianapolis 500 races for the IMS Radio Network. He is also a licensed NHRA driver and former Top Fuel team owner.
