BRETT STEVENS POWERING ON AT INDY
Australian Drag Racing legend and motorsport icon Brett ‘The Boss’ Stevens will be putting the power on in the streets of Surfers Paradise as apart of the official on track entertainment during the Lexmark Indy 300 celebrations from October 18-21.
Stevens and his dedicated Jack Daniel’s Racing team will be making the annual pilgrimage to one of the greatest sporting celebrations in the country, determined to make this years event bigger and better than ever with his scorching display of tyre frying burnout shows.
The 2005 Australian Top Bike Champion and 2004 Australian Top Doorslammer Champion and will be laying the rubber down at the event in his custom built Jack Daniel’s Racing Falcon Burnout Ute that produces 2500 horsepower, which is approximately equivalent to three Indy Champ Cars or four V8 Supercars.
During his ear shattering shows at Indy he will go through a complete set of Drag Racing slicks and over 100 litres of pure Methanol in a single lap of the street circuit.
“Indy is truly one of Australia ’s best sporting events that not only features the headlining Champ Cars and V8 Supercars, but also showcases many others forms of our countries top motorsports,” Stevens said.
“I’ll be giving the 300,000 plus fans a look of the sights, sounds and smells of Australian Drag Racing and will make sure that it’s not just the Champ cars that put a smile on people’s faces.”

Adding to the thrills and spills of the on track carnival, Stevens will also be making special guest appearances across the Gold Coast over the week as well as having his 3000 horsepower race car on display at the Chateau Boardwalk Café and Nitro Harley race bike at Shooters Saloon Bar.
Stevens is one of Australia ’s leading Drag Racers and is the only person in the world to compete in three professional Group 1 Drag Racing brackets simultaneously (Top Doorslammer, Top Bike and Top Alcohol).
Some of his recent Drag Racing accomplishments include winning the 2004 Australian Top Doorslammer and the 2005 Australian Top Bike Championships, member of the Australian Motorcycle Hall of Fame, holder of the quickest Australian Harley record with quarter mile run of 6.4 seconds, as well as various other records and titles.
The Lexmark Indy 300 is one of Australia ’s premier sporting events that combines the speed and thrills of international motor racing at its best, an enormous off track entertainment program, hundreds of thousands of vibrant spectators, all staged on Queensland ’s spectacular Gold Coast and watched by millions worldwide.
