Callaway and Conway looking for first win together in Brainerd

BRAINERD, Minn. - Former NHRA Division 4 Top Alcohol Dragster Champion Lee Callaway and defending World Champion Car Owner/Tuner Tom Conway will be looking for their first national event win together during this weekend's Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minn. For Callaway, he will be looking for his first career national event win, while Conway will be looking for his first national event win of the year with his Skull Shine backed A/Fueler.

Callaway, from Baytown, Texas, is looking forward to the opportunity to drive for Conway at a national event.

"It's a great opportunity any time you get to drive a car of this caliber," said Callaway. "It's like an added bonus getting to drive for Tom. We've worked together and been close before I started driving his car, so it's working out very well. We still have a shot at doing well in the points, so we'd like to go out there and make a good showing for our sponsors Skull Shine, Valvoline, Casino Queen, NGK, Joe Monden Race Cars and InsideTopAlcohol.com."

Team Manager Shane Conway cites the team is ready to rebound after an uncharacteristic first round loss at the Division 3 Lucas Oil Divisional in St. Louis.

"We've identified the problem from St. Louis, so we should be back on track in Brainerd," stated Conway. "We're looking forward to racing on a national event track and seeing what we can do with this fresh backhalf."

Qualifying begins on Friday with two sessions and concludes on Saturday morning with one final session. Eliminations begin Saturday afternoon with round one and conclude on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing."
