Team Pocono is looking for additional team members. This all-volunteer group was started back in 1991 as "fans helping fans" during the 2 NASCAR races held at Pocono Raceway.
We are looking for people who understand the importance of customer service and are willing to do any job assigned, even if it means you may not see the whole race.
As a member of this exclusive team, you will receive special benefits that the average fan won't be able to experience.
Now for the down and dirty...
Long hours, Friday - Saturday - Sunday (all day) or if you can only do Sat/Sun that's fine too
Food - depending where you are positioned, you either receive a box lunch or a $7.00 lunch voucher per day.
Employee Camping - you get free infield camping
Gate Pass - you get your gate pass (n/c) and can request up to 2 passes for family members. These passes allow you in/out access all weekend long.
other perks...getting *****ed out by a certain team owner...almost getting run over by Big E, on purpose, pi$$ing off fans by not allowing them to sit on the wall, smoke their cigarettes and drink their beer in the pit, and STILL able to smile, this job may be for you.
I'm a Charter Member and haven't missed a single race for the past 15 years. People ask why I continue to do this...well, it's not for the $$$, 'cause you get none, but for the friendships I've made over the years and I love meeting racefans...
Over the years, we've had drivers come to our BBQ's, took pace car rides, given apparel, etc. Not sure what the incentive will be this year....As it is now, TP works the pit and garage areas. I've worked Gasoline Alley for many, many years...making sure fans cross quickly and safely I would like someone to take my job - but - no one seems to want it.
Other Jobs: parking competitors in the ARCA/NASCAR parking lot, manning gates within the pit area, pit in/out area. Victory Lane assistance, qualifying assistance.....IF we increase our numbers, we may also have Ushering positions (usually Terrace Club). They also have 2 NEW positions available this year - FAN ASSISTANT TEAMS - they are roving teams to go TO the fan and help them with their needs
