Re: NO pro stocks - Edm. WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!
For the racers I'm happy that ADRL has built a program for the mountain-motor P/S cars. However...IHRA should drop their version of Pro Stock immediately. Pound sand, fellas! The little boycott reminds me of a temper tantrum of a 3-year-old and should be delt with accordingly...NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Speaking for myself, if IHRA dropped Pro Stock, I would not lose one nights sleep over it. I would add it to all the other WRONG decisions they have made.

Most IHRA Pro Stock racers do it for a hobby and no way could justify the expense of traveling to Edmonton. I know of some that said it would cost 10-12k in fuel for the trip.

Exactly. No real benefit to running out there.

Bobby,
Don't think I would not be disappointed being a Pro Stock racer/sponsor for over 10 years but I think IHRA forgets what and who got them to where they are.

Re: NO pro stocks - Edm. WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!
If anyone's hobby consists of $130,000 cars, $80,000 motors, $12,000 clutches, $7000 transmissions, and a $350,000 toter/stacker rig to pull it all around then showing some loyalty to the "one you brought to the dance" is in high order. Pro Stock in any form (or series...including the new ADRL class) is not and will never be top of the food chain. Boycotting an event because your class is not shown the same economic stimulus as Top Fuel or Funny Car is simply petty. If the class is too expensive the only people to blame are the racers. IHRA never made them spend anything more than entry fee.

We will put the entry fee as number one on the list of wrong decisions for IHRA.
1. Entry fees for Pro Teams

Re: NO pro stocks - Edm. WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!
I think two way street..... the IHRA PS guys ... did alot forthe IHRA shows.. but .. the IHRA has done alot to keep them in a place to race.. and to qoute a few of the IHRA PS drivers i have talked to.... "IHRA is much better than the NHRA for keeping things level and more affordable".....
not going to mention any names here..but i know of two that didn't go had nothing prasie for the IHRA and their programs in the past... stating to me that the IHRA has done alot toward keeping them racing in PS....
Amazing how things change so quickly......attitude and perspective wise....

2000 gallons of fuel for the trip? I'm not so sure about that, unless they're talking about two rigs for one car.
One thing is for sure. Only one racer in the class is now eligible for the bonus points the IHRA awards their pro class racers for attending every event.
