By no means was I trying to say that we were the first or only classic nitro funny cars to run at an IHRA national event. It is common knowledge that Del ran his car at Rockingham and that the two cars you mentioned ran in Canada, and now we ran four at Rockingham. See the progression?

All I was trying to say is that maybe with the help of other teams throughout the countries (USA and Canada) we could follow the lead of the 7.50 group that has an eliminator category at the western Canadian race. Then again, maybe no one is interested in the exposure a national event type of venue can provide, or the money that can be made at the match races available at the night of fire events IHRA promotes.

an interesting thought was discussed recently by me and some friends..

As cool as the nostalgia bodies are... why not run them on the Alky Funnys? that would make the Alky car stand out....

Jeremy - I have sold everything that pertains to top fuel and do not currently have the drive or money to resurrect that part of our past. Each of us have been involved with other teams at the national event level, and I may become a bigger part of a team next year, but not as an owner.

But you never know, maybe someone will walk into our shop and present us an offer that we can't refuse and we will be out there as a team of our own again.

Billy - There are a few of the nostalgia bodies that could be ran without causing an aerodynamic handicap, but I don't think the uniqueness would warrant the additional cost of construction in getting the weight balance in the chassis area correct with the old bodies. Richard's 55 was ran at IHRA events in the alcohol class, but that body does have aero handicaps.
