Rockingham NC - The J&B Motorsports Nitro Funny Car team will be more motivated than ever to grab a big win at the IHRA World Finals held October 17-19 at Rockingham Dragway. The Cory Lee driven Metalwood Bat Funny Car will be featured in a cover story in Drag Racer Magazine, about the team's dedication and determination to race against the tough IHRA field. Rockingham Dragway, also known as "The Rock", is one of IHRA's most legendary tracks and all of the competitors in the nitro funny car ranks will be going all out to put on a great show for the fans and new IHRA owners, Feld Entertainment.

In addition to the cover story in Drag Racer Magazine, Metalwood Bat and JAX WAX are donating a portion of their October Rockingham race related sales to J&B, who will in turn distribute the money to both the American Cancer Society and to Doug Herbert's BRAKES Program. The donations are in tribute to the brother of J&B team owner Jeff McGaffic, who lost his life to cancer and to a Penn State Freshman Baseball player who is in a medically induced coma from a recent auto accident. McGaffic serves as the pitching coach for the Penn State Beaver team. Both Metalwood Bats and JAX WAX products will be on sale at the track. Anyone purchasing a Metalwood Bat or JAX WAX product will get to sign the hood of the funny car as a token of appreciation for their support.
