Well this is pretty simple, my new name is my old name. Nice to see some folks who have been MIA for a while.

Same here for me, same name.

Bob can't remember of I asked you on the old site but was wondering how you got a hold of your avatar. I have that same poker chip key chain somewhere.

Hi Jim,

Somewhere is the keyword in your question. I have it somewhere here at home, but my collection is extremely disorganized (I collect chips as a hobby). A racing photo guy named Nathan (can't remember his last name) based in Maine had the chip made as an alternative to a business card. I was told his "other" job was working for Chipco International, the company that made that chip, and makes a lot of chips that are used in casinos.

My old Mater name was RWhite. Glad to see the new format. Will take a little getting use to the dark background, but us old guys can usually adapt to most anything! Like changing the font color to make it easier to read!

I may have to just read mater through the emails I get about threads I've subscribed to because I can read them. I sit at a computer for 12 hours a day, that has a white background and black letters. When I go into mater and try to read something posted in gray on black background, it takes my eyes a long time to adjust, and it's actually starting to hurt my eyes. I guess this old gal ain't adapting too well.

That's him. Wasn't sure if you got it directly from him or had stumbled upon it somehow.

Yeah, I am hoping they reconsider the colors. I'll just deal with it if not because I really like the change (real names) and think it will help keep out the riff-raff. But easier reading text would be shaawweeeet.

I would think that J-Rod could put up multiple "skins" that could give a selection of different color schemes. I know you can with some packages. So that may be something they can kick around and see if its possible. That way everyone (well, almost everyone! Can't make everyone happy) can have a Mater that works for them.
