My 2 car team!
Some of you guys know I do radio control drag racing pretty heavy, and also co-own my own track here in Minnesota. They are 1/10 scale, which makes the track 132 feet long. We even have 6 foot and 66 foot timers!
My best for AA/FC is 1.59 seconds at 85 MPH. .253 seconds for 6 feet, and 1.02 seconds for 66 feet.
My car is the 2008 Hight edition, my best friend and teamate Nate Johnston is the Tasca car. Painted them both myself.

Re: My 2 car team!
Nicely done Paul. I have a garage full of RC Cars and bodies, XMTRS, Tools etc. etc. that I have not touched since 1999. I was heavy into sprints and Nascars on a clay oval (indoor) and had a blast. My better half got tired of me spending my Wednesdays evenings and Saturdays at the track.
I kept all of my stuff thinking my kid would get into it, but alas, he found the internet and basketball.
I have some RC Planes as well that are hangar queens. Probably need to get motivated and get back to flying or driving or get rid of it all.
I have yet to see an RC Drag Race. I did have a cox dragster at one time many moons ago.
Cool stuff.
Tom.

Cool Paul. I knew some people around here that used to own a track but they were all nascar roundy round folks, no drag racing or I would probably have gotten involved somehow. Show us some pics without the body. I'm curious what hte rest looks like? What kind of engine?

LOL Just funnin with you.
Why are they "stretched" looking?

Man!! Ouch!! Talk about below the belt!!! wheeew!!
The cars are electric, direct drive, and have no speed control. It's run by microswitches, and are 100% on or 100% off.
They look stretched becasue they have a little longer wheelbase then scale, and there are no real body rules, so... They make them as aero as possible.
Here is the chassis--
Carbon Fiber plate chassis. This is a high end chassis. It's hard to see, but there is a center vertical stiffner as well. The car has no batteries or motor in it at the moment. It is also missing the main power wiring. I can post more pics when the season starts and the car is back together. It runs on 10 cells, 5 on each side. Depending on track temp, I move them back and fourth in the slots that you see.
The smalll battery pack in the very front powers up the electronice (reciever and servos) so the main pack does not get any other draw besides the motor.
You can get a starter chassis FC kit with axles, wheels and tires for $99 that
includes a clear body that would need to be trimmed, mounted, and painted. Paint job and decals is about another $50 and up depending on how difficult of a paint job it is. I'm sure my decal guy can do me some Napa ones if you are interested. That will at least get you a rolling chassis to display. Electronics depends on how much you want to spend. You can get by cheap, or go all out if you wanted it to actually have it run.

Well, your car has been beating up on my car for a while now, so if it's ok, I'm at least gonna take a pot-shot now and then.
So, in the chassis pic, the battery pack(s) is(are) missing?
Wow, when I read your list, it got expensive pretty quick.

Yeah it can get expensive. The FC chassis kit you see in the photo is $225 instead of $99 for the entry level version.

Re: My 2 car team!
Paul... Those things look very cool... I have never heard of this sport before, and I absolutely love the Bill Evans commentary... Its a very good thing I finished my water before he started talking...
How do you find people to race with?

Re: My 2 car team!
Thanks for the videos Paul, the in car was great.
By the way, love the paint, big time Robert/Jimmy/Eric(Hopsing)/Joe C(always cheer for the diver)/et al fan here, was a fan of that car when Teach drove it.
Please keep us in the loop and let us know when that car runs under 1.0 to half track.
