I'm with you, Ron. It was a seperate section..and nobody needed to go there if they didn't want to. Considering some of the topics discussed..I thought everyone conducted themselves fairly well. I don't see any harm with it returning. But it's not my call.

What I have with most of you is a Deep Burning Love for the Sport of Drag Racing...

Why ruin that by bringing in what we may or may not see eye-to-eye with as far as the way different parts of the Country think is best for them...

Remember... todays Conserative was concidered a Liberal 40 years ago

Well, uh, er, that's why it's kept in a separate Forum. Of course if fellow drag racing enthusiasts not agreeing with one another is a threat to the friendships made on a message board, I guess you're right.

"Remember... todays Conserative was concidered a Liberal 40 years ago"

Ummm, don't think so.

(I'm chuckling because you have to get special access to it. I guess the folks who who didn't want a Politics Room were unable to restrain their urge to read it anyway, so they could complain about it. )

There were strong, as well as lots of opposing views on many subjects voiced in the old P R in the Lounge.

Can't speak for others but for me.....
Those with opposing views gave me things to think about.
I learned some stuff
Others learned some stuff
No online friendship I've had has been threatened by opposing views
Made some new friends to boot.

When presented in a civilized way, most folks can listen to and respect differing views even if they don't agree with them. The people who failed to handle the room in that way, did the same when discussing drag racing, racers, sponsorships, team owners and any other topic for that matter. I think that most of them have not returned to the 'new mater'.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the intellectual jousting and sparring which always make me go back and take a look at my own opinions and thinking process.
