Getting a little out of order here, let's take a pass on the '68 mfg meet for a couple of minutes and fast forward to the mid-seventies...

Fox Hunts... Put butts in the seats, but took away a Saturday at the Drags from Something I'd take a date to, into a place I wouldn't want to be unarmed... guess my take was it became 'the thing to do'... oh, yeah, there's cars there too. I was going to wait two months to post another blog, but what the heck. In my last entry I mentioned how much I spent on stuff at Indy. Let me say that while some of it was shirts and hats, but included in that figure was a pair of Oakley Hijinx I purchased from Donnie Faulkner at the Rolling O store. Those alone were about $160, and well worth it. I also bought three shirts for my girls. I picked up the "Like Father, Like Daughter" John and Ashley Force shirts. I then waited in line and...

3am... Daisy Hendricks noticed is was quiet, too quiet in the bassinet... first male child in the Hendrick family in almost 40 years... She sees he's stopped breathing.... Her daughter Karin Lee was sleeping... it had been a rough night needless to say... Grandma and mother were alone in the clinic... somehow, Daisy got her grandson to start breathing again.... and held him the rest of the night. The Doc and nurse arrived back...
