Successful Relocation

For those of you that didn't know.....i have left the coldness of the Windy City behind and moved down to the happiest place on Earth to do an internship to complete my degree from Western Illinois....DISNEY WORLD!! It's taking me awhile but i think i can get used to this 81 and sunny in the middle of January......ok i am used to it now lol. I left Tuesday morning and drove straight through in about 18 hours. Imoved into my apartment on Wednesday and met all 3 of my new roommates.....good guys all of them. I got on the payroll today and got my "I can go wherever the hell i want on Disney property cause i work here" card. I got my position in a cafe in the Magic Kingdom and i start my training and orientation tomorrow.....and for you fellow Floridians....I hope to make it up to the Gators in a couple of months!!!

cool Mike... better time for the drive than our friend with the Gremlin...LMAO Used to date a young lady that worked for the Mouse out in So-Cal... she was twiddle-dum...

Cool Mike. You should get in contact with Mike Cummings a fellow mater. He's the fireworks guy for Disney if you didnt know. I dont remember if he's in FL or CA though.

Welcome to the Disney FamilyI didn't realize you were a fellow cast member until I saw your posting on the Brrrrrr thread.
I work for the mouse at the Original (and better ) park in Anaheim. It's a dream job, getting paid to go to Disneyland and blow stuff up (and not get in trouble for it). I've never been to Orlando but there is talk of sending a few of us Anaheim pyros down there this September for the annual American Pyrotechnics Association convention. I guess we need to show you Floridians how to put on a real fireworks show. I'll look you up if I attend. Mike |
