Fast Forward A Bunch of Years

It was the "Boss's" birthday yesterday... After a week of trying to find out what she wanted... didn't want to do the same old, same old... I mean, Taboo every year? White Linen? and this stuff that smells like fresh-baked Sugar Cookies? (my fav)... I gave up... so I got her a silly card, and Stuff fer her Car... one of the HHR things, looks like a 53 chevy sedan delivery... got her a detail brush, a steering wheel cover that looks like an overgrown scruncy, and some other dodads...
Never seen her so happy... guess it's the little stuff afterall... but I also told her at lunch yesterday to go get herself whatever "TOY" she wanted... so she bought a new leaf blower... and no, I don't do yardwork... as far as I'm concerned, I'd pour concrete and paint it green...
But, talked her into letting me use the Credit Card at lunch yesterday... ordered my tickets for Richmond.... They were in the mail box when I got home 30 minutes ago... And someone at VMP has purddy handwriting... haven't seen so many flowing loops since Sue did my homework in High School.... opps, did I say that out loud...
You'll never believe what I found in the bottom of a box my mom left me... Petersen's Funny Car Pictorial #3 cover price $1.50... gonna carry it to Richmond with me... hopefully, I can get Teach, The Don, Austin and Jimmy P(his dad's car) to autograph it fer me... oh yeah, and Conrad '71 at Bristol...
Meanwhile, getting speakers fer my new "hot rod" 'puter tomorrow... boys got her up and running.... new mommy board, more ram than you can shake a stick at, ungodly fast CPU, and a hard drive I could live in.... only thing they kept was the tower box.... kinda like swapping a Nitro motor into a 65 slant 6 dart... and we've got to get a new monitor for KW's machine... his kicked the rods out last night... she's up and running, but, his machine is the family server... he crashes, we all crash... that's an extra couple hundred green stamps I wasn't expecting to spend... digital, ya know...
Debating with myself... left overs, or a mixing bowl of frosted mini-wheats ... Kathy should never leave me home to take care of myself... Angel hair Pasta with Hershey's Dark Chocolate Sauce???? That sounds GOOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!

 Taboo- That's great!! Every year, Gramps would get Gran Taboo- You'd have thought she died and went to heavan!! Well, she did, but they had a great life- Sure tickled her fancy for some reason- never asked!! |
