An NHRA membership will get you 3 days of the the Audio-cast, a year of National Dragster(2 weeks after the fact) Some discount coupons on car rentals and hotels, and a hat pin... and with a couple of bucks, a cup of coffee at the track...

Biggest problem with the audio-cast is it's just a live feed of the PA system at the track... and we can't SEE what's happening at the track... It would be nice if we got a separate play by play, just like a baseball or football game on the radio...

And has anyone else noticed the the Powerade Guys use the same script at every race, including the "drag" race, the t-shirt shot at the sign; "an 8year old girl made it on her first shot last race" ... and I'm really getting tired of the 10/50 commercials on TV... lets see, 3 times an hour by 5 hours average a weekend, that's 15 times a weekend by 23 races that 345 times a year...

2)Main Stream Media and Professional Drag Racing... I got to say, locally we get as much TV coverage as IRL, CART or whatever they're called now days, F1, Roadracing of all types... ie, none to speak of... but we do get NASCAR, at least on the 11PM news... and NASCAR results are in the Monday Sports section of the paper...

WHY? We have too many winners... who won Richmond? Special K, Wildthing, DC?

At least we have one thing NASCAR doesn't anymore.... PERSONALITIES Okay NASCAR has Tony Stewart and Kenny Wallace...
WE have Wildthing, JR, Grubby, Prince Brandon, That Force Guy, Mike Ashley, Princess Ashley, Melanie, Hillary, Bobby V, Fast Jack, Clay, Whit, The Brothers P, Del, Jeffy, Phil B, Scott(Scooter) K. Robert(TopGun) and Ron, T-Bone, Rocking Jerry, Hot Rod, and great personalities behind the cars, AJ, Big Jim Dunn, Teach, Austin(low key)Coil, The Prock Rocket...

Next season we'll have a wife and husband racing against each other in funny car(I really hate that name), at least one more lady stepping up to Top Fuel... Bob Tasca III and Jessie in a shoot out for RotY... who knows, maybe even a high profile wedding in the fuel pits... Yeah, I think we have it all over NASCAR in Real Human Interest Stories...

3) VMP, ya really need to work on the PA system... couldn't hear a thing Bob said all weekend... except during down-time...

4) The Good Year thing....
If, by the article on DRO that Good Year said over three years ago to solve the chunking/de-laminating problem they would have to build a tire 40" tall and 18 plus wide, why not just do it and and say this is all you get... The alternative is what? they stop making tires for Nitro cars period? Or could it be, do away with the smoky burnout, do a couple of dry hops, stage and go? Haven't we've seen several passes this season where the burnout was messed up and the car still put up a very good number?

I know I'm missing something here, but during the day, track temp is up, and so is the rubber on it, so, heat the tires a buck and a half to two hundred.... no, wait, everyone when they tow to the line uses covers over the tires, I know to maintain air pressure... do they use nitrogen in the tires instead of air? and won't heating the tires on the burnout jack with the air pressure if they're not?

I know, too many questions, not enough answers...

I owe an apology to any one I offended Friday night in the lounge... I was not thinking and said some hurtful things, directed at one person... It was a matter of not engaging my brain before hitting post... what makes it worst, is besides ya'll, I owe my Step-mum and several friends and relatives here an apology also...

I do Respect The Queen, which makes what I said unforgivable. Yet, I beg forgiveness.

From this point on, I will not even look at any thread that the gentleman posts...
