Okay, I've been up since 0430 this morning... guess 'old age' has set in. After hacking up a couple of furballs, scraping my chin, brushing my tooth... okay all 18 still left, went downstairs, brewed a pot of mud, opened a fresh pack of cancer sticks, looked in on the grandsons, ate a couple of brownies.... then came back upstairs to my 'office' and fired up Maxine, my 'puter.... checked my e-mail, then logged on to the 'Mater.
Wally is with Barbara now... that hurts, but I truly believe it's for the best.
Which got me thinking... what do I truly believe?
Hold on to your hat "Son", (Teasing Mike) d'kid that grew-up in So-Cal in the sixties might surprise ya...
Label me this: I'm a 'Neo-conservative constitutional pagan'
I Believe:
Our forefathers spelled out in the preamble the purpose of the federal government...
PROVIDE for the common defense.
PROMOTE the general welfare.
I also believe they meant it when they wrote in term limits for congress... Professional Politicians? Why wouldn't someone want to get back to their real life after doing their DUTY?
I don't give a bloody heck what color your skin is, who you sleep with (of age), what you may or may not smoke or put up your nose or in your veins... but it's NOT up to the Government to put a roof over your head or food on your table.
You made your bed, now sleep in it.
The Public School System, again, not Federal, that's a state, local and Private undertaking.
Last, The "R" word.
I respect everyone's views... I have my own which just might be a little older, some of which were co-opted by the Vatican. I think we're damn close to the reset button... I don't think I'll be around to see it, but I believe one of these times, we're gonna get it right...
