Why do I care?

And I guess that's really the Question. I care. I've cared for the last Forty Years. Some people follow the NBA. Some, the NFL. MLB? Sure, why not? Just not my cup of Tea.
But I do pay attention to college women's basketball. I can hear you all saying HUH???? Well, ODU fields Good Teams, and the school is only 6 miles from where I'm sitting right now.
On the other hand, there isn't a Pro stick and ball team within a couple of hundred of miles of here. And with my "home" teams being 3000 miles from here... kinda hard to follow them, and with my "home" NFL team moving to St. Louis years ago...
At Least with Drag Racing, most of my "heroes" are still in the game, and I can follow them 'Live' week in and week out.
But, in a lot of ways, I'm not sure I like the direction Drag Racing is going. It's like rolling over first thing in the morning, I still love Kathy with all my Heart... but she's not the young girl I married 27 years ago... but, I wouldn't trade her for anything!
Are Drag Racing and I growing apart? In someways yes, others not. I like multi-car teams, I like the little guys... but if Drag Racing is going to go to the next level, we need only one class on Sunday... I'd like to see a blending of TF and Flopper, a 32 car field... and run the Pro Stocks on Saturday...
Kwel, the Princess just won... but Hillary and Melanie both went out in round one... So much fer my picks for the weekend... Papa Wins!!!
But, getting back to my short train of thought... I hate to say this, I see the Sunday cars as a C.o.T. something about 150-165 inch wheelbase, full body, lots of room for sponsors, kinda the best of both worlds...
One more thing.... Feedback... are ya'll enjoying my ramblings, you think I'm nuts? Post a comment, or e-mail me at vampire_hemi@yahoo.com
sprinkling at the track... and it looks like a points shake-up in flopper...
More, Later
