Ok, I've never done this so bare with me.....

Posted 09-11-2007 at 11:12 AM by Justin League
Well I wasnt too sure how to start this but I do have a somewhat "funny" story to share that happened yesterday.

I'm at work yesterday (I'm a loan officer for a credit union for those who dont know) and my phone rings and its my loving wife Pam. I immediately knew something was wrong and asked what was the matter. This is the ensuing conversation:

Me: "You ok, whats the matter?"
Pam: "Um, I fell threw the window in our room." (Which is one the 2nd story of our house)
Me: "What? How the hell did you manage that? Are you ok?"
Pam: "Yes, just cut in a few places under my arm."

Long story short we have a thick blanket that we put up in the window behind the shades to keep the street light outside out at night and the sunlight out during the day. Anyways she had taken it down to clean the window and rearrange and what not and while putting it back up she lost her footing and fell into the window elbow first shattering it and knocking the window out of the house.

So needless to say, I left work early and went home and replaced a window and played Dr Justin Feelgood for my wife who felt like a moron.

This morning I asked her on my why to work if she needed me to have an ambulance on standbye incase she decided to go window bowling again!

LUckily for her and I she wasnt hurt too bad and we can laugh about it now but it could have been alot worse. I just Thank God she wasnt hurt. I could care less about the window. $20 later it was fixed.

Other than that, a quick intro of myself to those who dont know me, I'm 26 and have basically been raised at the dragstrip. My whole family has been and right now we have about 10 racecars as a family. Mainly we just run local and big buck bracket races, a couple index races and a divisional here and there in top dragster.

Latest news on the racing front is Dad got down to 3 cars at HRP's bracket race this past Sat night before the dragster shook the tires shifting into high gear and he lifted, and everyone is getting ready to head to Memphis in a few weeks for the Million. I wont be attending it. As for the Dallas National event I'm still not sure. The rest of my family will be at home getting ready for the million so I think I might skip it and go the ADRL World Finals on Oct 12 and 13th a few weeks later. Ofcourse that weekend I'd be bye myself again b/c the rest of them will be at the IHRA Bracket FInals at Pine Valley but I will for sure be at the ADRL race.

Well I hope you enjoyed my funny story. Gotta go. They actually pay me to do some work around here, so I guess I'd better do some.

Sometimes life can be fragile... It can be over in an instant. My daughter lost a classmate yesterday, she fell to the floor in 3rd period and died later from an aneurism. 13 yrs old you just never know. We should all count our blessings when we can. It sounds like you have counted yours.
