Yes I spent too much...but

I was going to wait two months to post another blog, but what the heck. In my last entry I mentioned how much I spent on stuff at Indy. Let me say that while some of it was shirts and hats, but included in that figure was a pair of Oakley Hijinx I purchased from Donnie Faulkner at the Rolling O store. Those alone were about $160, and well worth it. I also bought three shirts for my girls. I picked up the "Like Father, Like Daughter" John and Ashley Force shirts. I then waited in line and had both drivers sign them. I am not a big autograph guy, but it really made my three girls happy. Squeals all around the house is more like it. My oldest wanted me to take her Ashley doll to Indy to have her sign it, but I told her we could do that together next year at Joliet. I am not ready to bring three girls under 10 to Indy just yet. I only have a few more years of saying that. For now we attend the Joliet race, since we can stay at my Father's house about a half hour away.

My nitro cravings will be satisfied this Saturday, since we will be attending the Funny Car Nationals at Knoll Gas Motorsports Park aka US 131 in Martin, Michigan. We will be meeting PJ, Big Zappy, and a few friends there. We love that track since it's only about twenty minutes away, and they have family bathrooms. It should be a good time, and I'll make sure to get a few big whiffs of nitro.....enough to last all winter!
