(10-12-08) RICHMOND, Va. -- After showing a tiny bit of vulnerability in the first two rounds of professional qualifying, point leader and defending JEGS ProMod Challenge champion Josh Hernandez returned to form early Saturday afternoon and posted the quickest pass in Pro Mod history, a stunning 5.900 at 242.71 mph, to earn the Ohio Crankshaft Low Qualifier Award.

Last two New York Motorsports Top Speed Awards go to Hernandez
DELAWARE, Ohio (Oct. 11) -- Reigning JEGS ProMod Challenge champion and current point leader Josh Hernandez padded his wallet by collecting the last two New York Motorsports Top Speed Awards from fellow racer and contributor David Hance. Hernandez topped out at 241.20 mph at the 54th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and went 242.02 mph at the 23rd annual Super Start Batteries NHRA Nationals in Dallas to earn a total of $1,000.
